| Explorer I is a two-week summer camp
adventure appropriate for boys and girls between the ages of 9 and 14.
The first week of this summer camp is designed to build participants
skill and confidence in a variety of summer adventures including: short
hikes, swimming, horseback riding, climbing, rappelling, biking and
tubing. During the second week camp participants have an opportunity to
apply their new skills on longer adventures including: an over night
float trip, a camping adventure, and an over night backpacking trek.
This summer camp adventure concludes with an evening of celebration in
the jewel city of the Great Smoky Mountains, Gatlinburg, TN. Each summer camp adventure will be tailored to meet the experience level and ability level of the summer camp participants. No prior experience is required to participate in this summer camp. Explorer I Summer Adventure is an excellent camp choice for those with an adventurous spirit and a love of the outdoors. |
Explorer II is a two-week summer camp
adventure appropriate for boys and girls between the ages of 11 and 16.
This high adventure session allows campers to experience traditional
adventure camp activities for the first week including: hikes, tubing,
swimming, horseback riding and spelunking in the beautiful Tennessee
mountains. Then, during the second week, adventure camp participants will take part in high adventure activities including an overnight canoeing trip down the French Broad River, and a 4-5 day trek through the Great Smoky Mountains with experienced Appalachian Trail thru-hikers as their guides. Completing the Explorer II summer adventure often leaves campers with a new self-confidence and an ‘I Can Attitude'. This summer camp adventure concludes with an evening of celebration in the jewel city of the Great Smoky Mountains, Gatlinburg, TN. |
